Kilklispeen High Irish Cross Pendant

The Kilklispeen High Irish Cross Pendant is sterling silver and is inspired by the ancient standing stone cross in Ireland. This Irish High cross necklace is made of sterling silver and has a Celtic design that is a reproduction of a cross from the early tenth century that is located in the Kilkieran graveyard in County Kilkenny, Ireland. The design was inspired by several ornamental themes seen in Byzantine art. In Irish village cemeteries, eight- to ten-foot-tall standing crosses towered over the graves below. The Kilclispeen Cross, often written as Kilklispeen Cross, is a reproduction of the pattern adorning the east side of the South Standing Cross in the Kilkieran cemetery, County Kilkenny, Ireland.
