How to wear a Kilt pin...

The kilt pin is purely ornamental and is attached to the front apron only of the kilt, positioned quite close to the fringe on the right-hand side and about 4" from the bottom. The kilt pin gives the open end of the kilt a little more weight and helps keep the front apron down.
